At least 33 people were killed Monday in a shooting rampage at Virginia Tech, according to two Virginia congressmen -- making it the deadliest school shooting incident in U.S. history. "Some victims were shot in a classroom," university police Chief Wendell Flinchum said.

"Rightness" is apparently a Scientology buzzword and appears in a couple of founder L. Ron Hubbard's manifestoes: "Rightness and Wrongness" and "Recognition and Rightness of Being."

MOVIE projects about gay icons seem to come in pairs. Last year, it was back-to-back flicks about Truman Capote. Entourage's gay day

The second episode in the new season of HBO's Entourage, set to air this Sunday, will prove to be its gayest yet. As Rex Lee, who plays Lloyd, told me Friday morning, "I don't want to give away too much, but Ari asks Lloyd to, uh, go the extra mile in terms of helping him sign a gay writer." Ari is always asking Lloyd to go above and beyond the call of duty for his clients and his business. In turn, it is the lovable Lloyd who keeps Ari moral and checks his ego. As yet, we have not seen anything about Lloyd's personal life—though he shocked Ari by revealing that he is a top—and just how much we will see in future episodes remains unclear. But let's not forget that the real relationship here is between Lloyd and Ari.
Rex Lee has emerged as one of the show's most popular characters, and is certainly among the most prominent gay Asian characters in television history. He appeared on the cover of Thursday's Los Angeles Times Calendar section with an article titled "Memoirs of a Gaysian." "It's probably not a term I would use to describe myself," says Lee, "but whenever anyone else does it makes sense I guess."

Croc bites off vets arm

Surgeons reattached a Taiwanese veterinarian’s forearm today after a 440 lb Nile crocodile chomped it off!
The male crocodile severed Chang Po-yu’s forearm yesterday when the veterinarian tried to retrieve a tranquiliser dart from the reptile’s hide so he could give it medication. Colleagues recovered the limb from the reptile’s mouth and rushed it to the hospital.
The forearm was reattached following seven hours of surgery today.

Not only did the sagging news network throw tens of millions of bucks into an ad campaign that failed to boost Anderson Cooper's ratings, now an insider says it's set to pay the man Fox News dubbed the "Paris Hilton of anchors" a deal worth $50 million over five years. Cooper "just got an incremental amount added on to his original contract to keep him happy for the next two years and then will make a much larger amount for the following three years - all of which will be worth $50 million," a Cooper spy told us. A rep for CNN declined to comment.

According to a two count indictment filed in U.S. District Court in Reno, Nevada, Francis, 34, sought to conceal income through the use of offshore companies and nominees. At one point, he transferred $15 million from one offshore bank account to a California brokerage account in the name of a Cayman Islands corporation he controlled. If convicted of the federal charges, he faces a maximum of 10 years in prison and fines of up to $500,000. Francis was arrested yesterday on an unrelated federal warrant stemming from a civil lawsuit brought against him by seven underage women who were filmed by "Girls Gone Wild" cameramen in Florida in 2003.
