After a massive outcry against their insistence to protest—or preach, as they called it—at the funerals of this week's tragic Virginia Tech massacre, the Westboro Baptist Church has called things off. Not out of sympathy for the victims or anything, but because radio jock Mike Gallagher offered to give the Church an open mic during the time slot usually occupied by his radio show.Gallagher made a similar offer to the Westboro Baptists in the wake of the Amish school shootings in Pennsylvania last year—an offer the WBC similarly accepted.
God may hate fags, but he sure loves attention, doesn't he?
