Hawaii Sends Scientology Packing
Aha! We just found out WHY John Travolta visited Hawaii dressed in black. Apparently the church of Scientology had a huge fundraising concert planned for May 24 at the Honolulu Design Center. Lisa Marie Presley was set to perform, among others. It was a $2500 a ticket fundraiser for Narcanon drug rehab. (Scientology was not mentioned in ads) and the church hoped at least a thousand Hawaiians would attend. But the local newspaper spelled out what many Hawaiians didn't realize - that Scientology backed Narcanon. Hawaiians stayed away in droves. The event was a total bust and when few tickets sold, they flew in Scientologists from the mainland and moved the concert to a restaurant. Lisa Marie avoided the whole debacle and flew to another island. SourceTuesday, May 29, 2007

Lindsay Lohan is headed back to rehab
Lindsay Lohan is on her way back into rehab, In Touch can exclusively reveal. After a wild weekend that saw her arrested for DUI early Saturday morning — and out of it in a car just two days later — she's seeking treatment.“She finally realizes it’s the right thing to do,” a close friend of the 20-year-old actress tells In Touch exclusively. “She is going willingly.”Lindsay is due to check into Promises in Malibu this afternoon (LA-time) In Touch has learned. That is the facility that Britney Spears entered after shaving her head. The Georgia Rule star’s decision contrasts starkly from her behavior just last night at Teddy’s nightclub. Insiders say Lindsay was partying as hard as ever at a 944 Magazine party and kept insisting she didn’t care about the consequences of her arrest when cocaine was discovered in her wrecked Mercedes convertible. She was later photographed seeming to be out of it in the front passenger seat of a car being driven by her friend, disc jockey Samantha Ronson. This will be Lindsay’s second spell in rehab this year. She completed a 30-day course in the Wonderland rehab facility in Los Angeles on February 16. SourceMarilyn Manson totally wants to do Justin Timberlake
Manson told BBC Radio 1: "I met Justin Timberlake and I liked him. I met his mother too. He brings her on tour with him, I guess as some sort of prop. "When we met I had just watched this sex documentary, unfortunately for his mother, and the first thing I said to her was 'Did you know that a woman has three holes between their legs?' She was fascinated."Manson also revealed he has "a fascination with Justin Timberlake", and he carries a picture of the former *NSYNC star with him wherever he goes.

R.I.P. Charles Nelson Reilly
LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- Charles Nelson Reilly, the Tony Award winner who later became known for his ribald appearances on the "Tonight Show" and various game shows, has died. He was 76. Reilly died Sunday in Los Angeles of complications from pneumonia, his partner, Patrick Hughes, told the New York Times. Reilly began his career in New York City, taking acting classes at a studio with Steve McQueen, Geraldine Page and Hal Holbrook. In 1962, he appeared on Broadway as Bud Frump in the original Broadway production of "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying." The role won Reilly a Tony Award. He was nominated for a Tony again for playing Cornelius in "Hello, Dolly!" In 1997 he received another nomination for directing Julie Harris and Charles Durning in a revival of "The Gin Game." After moving to Hollywood in 1960s he appeared as the nervous Claymore Gregg on TV's "The Ghost and Mrs. Muir" and as a featured guest on "The Dean Martin Show."He gained fame by becoming what he described as a "game-show fixture" in the 1970s and '80s. He was a regular on programs like "Match Game" and "Hollywood Squares," often wearing giant glasses and colorful suits with ascots. His larger-than-life persona and affinity for double-entendres also landed him on the "Tonight Show" with Johnny Carson more than 95 times. Reilly ruefully admitted his wild game-show appearances adversely affected his acting career. "You can't do anything else once you do game shows," he told The Advocate, the national gay magazine, in 2001. "You have no career." His final work was an autobiographical one-man show, "Save It for the Stage: The Life of Reilly," about his family life growing up in the Bronx. The title grew out of the fact that when he would act out as a child, his mother would often admonish him to "save it for the stage." The stage show was made into the 2006 feature film called "The Life of Reilly." Reilly's openly gay television persona was ahead of its time, and sometimes stood in his way. He recalled a network executive telling him, "They don't let queers on television." Hughes, his only immediate survivor, said Reilly had been ill for more than a year. No memorial plans had been announced.Sunday, May 27, 2007

Lindsay Lohan crashes car, cops find coke.
BEVERLY HILLS, California (AP) -- Lindsay Lohan was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence Saturday after her convertible struck a curb, and investigators found what they suspect is cocaine at the scene, police said. Lohan, 20, and two other people were in her 2005 Mercedes SL-65 when it crashed on Sunset Boulevard around 5:30 a.m., Sgt. Mike Foxen said. It appeared Lohan was speeding, Lt. Mitch McCann said at an afternoon news conference. Officers at the scene found a "usable amount" of a drug tentatively identified as cocaine, McCann said. He declined to say where the drug was found other than to say Lohan was not carrying it. Lohan, who spent time at a rehabilitation center earlier this year, was driven in another car to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries, McCann said. The two other people in her car were not hurt.Officers received a 911 call about the accident and arrested Lohan at the hospital for investigation of misdemeanor driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, McCann said. She was released from custody because she was admitted to the hospital, police said. Lohan will have to appear in court to answer the citation, first reported on the Web site of X17 Inc., a celebrity photo agency. Lohan publicist Leslie Sloane Zelnik did not immediately return an e-mail requesting comment. Lohan said in January that she had checked into a rehabilitation center for substance abuse treatment. Her publicist confirmed in December that the actress was attending Alcoholics Anonymous meetings. Lohan told Allure magazine during an interview for its May issue that she decided to enter the secluded Wonderland Center at the suggestion of her therapist. "It's so weird that I went to rehab. I always said I would die before I went to rehab," Lohan told the publication.Saturday, May 26, 2007

Rosie Leaving The View!
NEW YORK (AP) -- Rosie O'Donnell has fought her last fight at "The View." ABC said Friday she won't be back on the show following her angry confrontation with co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck on Wednesday. O'Donnell asked for, and received, an early exit from her contract. She was due to leave "The View" in mid-June. "Rosie contributed to one of our most exciting and successful years at 'The View,' " show creator Barbara Walters said. "I am most appreciative. Our close and affectionate relationship will not change." In a statement, O'Donnell said she was grateful. "It's been an amazing year and I love all three women." Presumably, that includes Hasselbeck. The two exchanged bitter words on Wednesday over O'Donnell's opposition to the war in Iraq. They've frequently had snippy political exchanges during O'Donnell's year on the daytime chatfest, but never as long and loud as that one.

The Sims...Movie
20th Century Fox has purchased the rights to a live-action version film of the mega-popular computer game "The Sims." The computer game is the best-selling of all time with a whopping $1.6 billion in sales worldwide.Fox says it will be live-action.
The Sims is a simulated computer game where players determine the careers, love lives, family lives and even personality of the characters in the game.
The creators won't have a hard time finding actors for this crap. Most actors in Hollyweird have no emotion and are basic robots. I hope The Sims movie turns out as well as Super Mario Bros. the Movie. Source

Is homophobe Isaiah Washington leaving Grey's Anatomy??
Kristen at E! is reporting...I've now heard from various reliable sources that Isaiah has been taking meetings in New York and Los Angeles in search of a new job that would take place during the coming TV season, so it certainly appears that Isaiah's Grey's days are over. Insiders at ABC tell me "not everyone will be coming back" to Grey's this fall, and although T.R. Knight's fate was also left hanging in the balance after the season finale, I'm hearing he's gonna be back (gotta wrap up that love triangle, not to mention his betrothed is the new chief resident!) but like I said, Isaiah looks to be a goner. Readin', writin' and Scientology
Is Scientology being taught in public schools? With the help of John Travolta, educational techniques developed by Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard are being used in a Louisiana public school, according to Florida’s St. Petersburg Times.
In the mayhem that followed Hurricane Katrina, Celebrity Scientologists, including Travolta and Isaac Hayes, “played key roles” in persuading Prescott Middle School in Louisiana to adopt a Hubbard program called Applied Scholastics, reports the St. Petersburg Times.
Defenders of the program say that students’ scores have improved since it has been put in use — and insist that Applied Scholastics has nothing to do with Scientology, other than the man who created it.
Critics, however, disagree. Teaching the studying technique is “covert religious instruction” Dave Touretsky, a research professor at Carnegie Mellon University, told the Times, and he said that using it in schools could be unconstitutional. Source

An aspiring starlet who wants to lose her virginity on camera is taking Katee Holmes as her nom de porn, and Katie Holmes isn't liking it one bit. The young Katee says that taking Mrs. Cruise's name is a "tribute to Katie," according to Page Six, because Katie has always portrayed "an innocence" in everything she's done. (Except that topless scene in "The Gift," of course.) The fake Katee is planning to lose it on camera, among other activities, and Katie and husband Cruise are reportedly considering their options against the young "Holmes."He needs to come out already.

Kevin Spacey takes another tiptoe past the gay rumors in the June issue of Gotham magazine. "I'm living my life how I choose," says the actor, who was feted by the mag at Buddha Bar last night. "In no way, shape, or form am I hiding, or am I terrified. I'm having the time of my life living my life. … I don't think any degree of bizarre social pressure or media intrusion [means] I have to participate."
